CREW Art & Scenic Photography
CREW’s experienced photography team is passionate about capturing striking images of scenic beauty. The slideshow below is a small example of our work in scenic and art photography. In a selection of images, we’ve manipulated the hues to create a Warhol-esque tapestry of surreal color schemes applied to the identical image in sequence for a “quadtych” effect.
What the heck is a quadtych?
The word quadtych (pronounced quad-tick) has its origins in the Greek ‘quadtykhos,’ meaning “four-layered.” It is, quite simply, a picture that is painted or printed on four panels (imagine Andy Warhol’s famous Marilyn Monroe quadtych print). Likewise, a diptych has two panels, a triptych has three panels, and a polyptych has five or more panels. The images can all be printed on a single canvas, or on separate canvases meant to be hung together.

Another art design using a photograph, this is an image of a relatively nondescript light-indigo-colored beetle (haven’t seen one like it before or since!) on a palm tree. Getting creative with the colors turned this brown and pale blue photo into strikingly colorful art!
